BRIEF.
Terms of use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of BRIEF. ("BRIEF," "we," or "us"), including our mobile applications and the site and APIs at briefvocal.com. By using BRIEF., you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Effective date: May 6, 2026
The service
BRIEF. turns voice input into structured text outputs (for example Architect, Assistant, and Ghostwriter). Features may require an account (for example through our authentication partner) and network access. Some server features are only available to subscribers as shown in the app. Nothing is sent to third-party destinations you configure (for example webhooks) until you explicitly trigger that action in the product.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are offered as auto-renewing subscriptions where available. Payment, renewal, and cancellationare handled by the platform store (Apple App Store or Google Play) under that platform's terms. Subscription length and the price shown at purchase are displayed in the app before you buy. To cancel or manage a subscription, use your device's account settings for the store (for example Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iOS). When you cancel, you keep access for the period you already paid for unless the store policies say otherwise. We do not control store refunds; request those through the platform.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it current. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, pose a security risk, or must do so to comply with law.
Acceptable use
You will not misuse BRIEF.—for example by attempting to probe, disrupt, or overload our systems; access the service or others' data without permission; or use the product to violate law or third-party rights. You remain responsible for content you provide (such as recordings and transcripts) and for how you use outputs.
AI-assisted output
Outputs are generated with software and models that can be incorrect or incomplete. You should review results before relying on them, especially for decisions with legal, medical, financial, or safety impact. Nothing in the service is professional advice.
Third-party services
BRIEF. relies on vendors for infrastructure, sign-in, AI processing, analytics, crash reporting where enabled, and payments through the stores. Their terms and privacy practices apply to how they process information on their side.
Disclaimers
The service is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BRIEF. and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for claims arising out of these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us directly for the service in the twelve months before the claim or (b) fifty U.S. dollars—except where applicable law does not allow such a cap.
Changes
We may update these Terms or the service. We will post the updated Terms on this page and may change the effective date above. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to let you know (for example in the app or by email where we have your address). Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires otherwise.
